“From These Roots We Came”

President George Walker Bush is related to us through my mother, Mary Ruth Long.

Our common ancestor was ten generations back. The couple was Daniel COMSTOCK, Sr. [Ahn 1576] (1630-1683) and his wife, Palthiah ELDERKIN [Ahn 1577] (1635-1713).

I descend from their son Daniel COMSTOCK, Jr. [Ahn 788] (1653-1746) and his wife Elizabeth PRENTICE [Ahn 789](1675-1770).

George Bush descends from Daniel and Palthiah’s daughter Ann. Ann COMSTOCK (1661-1727) was married to Ebenezer BILLINGS (1661-1727).

At this point I will outline the step by step descendants leading to me (E.Lamar Ross) and to my ninth cousin, President George W. Bush.
