<description>My Owens line has been hard to trace... My gg-grandfather Alexander Owens 1817 in South Carolina according to 1850 census of Bibb Co Alabama. He was married to one Lucy- possibly Bracknal. He raised a large family there and about 1866 Lucy must have died and he remarried to Nancy J McKenzie in Bibb Co Ala and soon migrated to Waterford, Marshall County Mississippi as he appears on the 1870s census there. By 1880 he was next door in Love, Desoto Co Ms. He died about 1894 in Desoto County Ms and is believed to be buried in Greys Creek Church Cemetery near his farm. He left his older children behind on the Bibb Co Ala farm and other children in Marshall Co Ms and also in Desoto Co Ms. I have lots of info on Alexander Owens his children and decendants but Im stuck and no nothing of his parents or birthplace and how he ended up in Alabama and his migrations trail getting there. If anyone has a connection to my Alexander Owens 1817-abt 1894 please contact me. I would like to find missing links.
